Solidus (Gold, 20 mm, 4.39 g, 6 h), Constantinopolis, circa 924-931. +IҺS XPS RЄX RЄGNANTIЧm✱ Christ, nimbate, seated facing on throne, raising his right hand in benediction and holding book of Gospels on his left knee with his left. Rev. ROmAҺ ЄT XPISTOFO AЧGG b' Crowned facing busts of Romanus I, with short beard on the left and wearing loros, and Christopher, beardless on the right and wearing chlamys, holding, with their right hands, a long patriarchal cross between them. DOC 7. SB 1745. A sharp and lustrous example. Very light scuffs on the obverse and with light edge marks, otherwise, good extremely fine.
